You put a dot at where you want to start then plot it out by adding dots to your chosen path. It tracks the miles as you go. You can "undo" all the way back and start over, too. The Midnight Sun Run is going virtual! The Midnigh The Midnight Sun Run is going virtual! The Midnight Sun Run usually enjoys a large crowd which is not possible right now. That’s why Fairbanks Resource Agency is hosting the 38th Annual Fairbanks Daily News-Miner Midnight Sun Run VIRTUAL 10K Friday June 19th through Monday, June 22nd! Interested walkers and runners can register online at midnightsunrun.net. Virtual race participants must complete their individual 10K (6.2 miles) route between Friday, June 19th and Monday, June 22nd. They will upload their time to a link provided by the Athlinks race platform and it will be displayed just like it would be for the typical event. Getting outside, exercising and feeling part of a community are all more important than ever! A virtual race will still allow people to take part in summer fun under the midnight sun. We’ll be asking, “Where will you run YOUR Midnight Sun Run?” FAQs: Will there be a Midnight Sun Run t-shirt? Yes! Details are coming soon. People can check our website and social media for updates. How long will registration be open? Registration will remain open until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22nd. Can I wear a costume? Costumes are encouraged! What about pictures? We want people to take photos and share them with us! We will provide a portal on the Midnight Sun Run website: midnightsunrun.net. We will post them on social media and in a gallery on our website. Last year we had registrants from 41 states and 12 countries. Registration opened today and we already have 6 states represented! AK (duh!), GA, TX, MO, WA and NM!
